With a deep breath you close the door, everyone is gone and it was fun. You walk into the living room and see the gang. Everywhere glasses, leftovers, skewers, empty bottles, half-chewed bitterballen, and a tart piece of cake from your niece. Can you handle this? We think so!
1. Fresh wind through your house
Throw open a few windows and doors. A house full of visitors produces a lot of odors, moisture, and possibly smoke. Let the airflow for a while while you clean up the mess. Then it will smell a lot less tomorrow morning. Also, put the extractor hood fully on nuclear position.
Then make the effort to put on a nice and quiet clean-up music. Norah Jones always does it right, or Sublime FM. Also, switch on some bright lamps immediately so that you can see what you are doing. Blow out candles, extinguish the fireplace, turn off the heating, and get started.
2. Transport from front to back
It’s time to get organized and we start with the dirty glasses, cutlery, plates, etc. Grab a large tray and move the dirty dishes from the living room to the kitchen. Do you have a dishwasher? First, realize that you are a very blessed person and then immediately take him in. Is it full? Then turn it on immediately. Let the dishwasher do the work.
Don’t have a dishwasher? Then don’t give up hope. Collect all the dirty dishes on the counter but do not wash anything yet, that will come later. Immediately rinse the leftover drink in the sink.
3. The magical garbage bag
Very simple: all waste goes into the garbage bag. For convenience, put everything together, food, and normal household waste. Napkins, residual food, cheese sticks, broken glasses, broken toast, and so on. Also check the battlefield (the kitchen) for empty bags of chips, nuts lying around, and empty hummus boxes.
4. Just clean the mess
It kind of depends on what time it is and how tired you are. You can choose to go around with the vacuum cleaner. You can also grab the petty thief and tackle the worst spots. What you want.
It is also easy to go around with your aerosol all-purpose cleaner and a dishcloth and to take off the salon and dining table. Also, take the piece of cloth through the kitchen.
Do you have a little more time? Then do a turbo cleaning of the toilet. That means A bit of toilet cleaner, brushing for a while, spraying all-purpose cleaner on the rim and the glasses, removing it for a while, flushing.
5. Make sure everything comes back in place
Slide back your furniture, fold in the extra chairs and take them straight to the shed (or wherever they came from). Fill a beer crate with empty bottles from the kitchen. Put everything back where it came from.
6. If you don’t have a dishwasher
Work efficiently. First the glasses, cups, and mugs. Then plates, bowls, and trays. Finally, the cutlery. You can dry it or let it dry by itself and go to bed.
7. Wake up in a fresh house
Is not it is nice? Who wants to suffer from yesterday’s party? You didn’t give it to anything yesterday! Yesterday was 12 hours ago and you are going on with your life. So make a nice breakfast and enjoy a new day without having to clean!
