Ingredients for 4 people
- 4 ripe plantains or 4 unripe “normal” bananas
- lump of butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- vanilla ice cream
- strawberries, fresh or from the freezer
- Chocolate sauce
Melt a large knob of butter in a non-stick frying pan. Arrange the bananas in the pan and bake for 5 minutes on both sides. Sprinkle brown sugar over it just before the end of the baking time. Leave on the fire for a while until the sugar has melted. Turn off the heat and turn the bananas so that both sides are covered with the melted sugar.
Halve the baked bananas lengthwise.
Arrange the bananas on a plate; add some scoops of vanilla ice cream.
Finish the fried bananas with ice cream with some chocolate sauce and pieces of strawberry. If you use frozen strawberries, don’t let them thaw completely before you use them in the desert.
